Ririe Days Pinewood Derby Details:

When: Saturday July 16th, 2011
Time: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Where: The Ririe City Park
What: Pinewood Derby Race - typical (BSA) Boy Scouts of America Rules Apply.
Who: All are invited.
Entrance Fee: $5 per tournament entered.

Prizes (for each 20 car tournament):

• First Place: $25
• Second Place: $15
• Third Place: $10

Rules:

• All Cars Must be 5 oz. or less.
• Overall length cannot be longer than 7 inches.
• Overall width cannot exceed 2-3/4 inches.
• Official BSA wheels must be used.
• The wheels may not be cut, drilled, beveled or rounded.
• You may remove the seams and imperfections from the wheels.
• Wheel bearings, washers or bushings are prohibited.
• The car must not ride on any type of springs.
• No starting devices. The car must be freewheeling.
• No loose material of any kind, such as lead shot, may be used.
• Once a car passes inspection and is entered into the race, only race committee members can touch it.
• If the car loses a wheel, or is otherwise damaged, the racer shall have 5 minutes to make a repair.
• Each car must pass inspection by the official inspection committee before it will be allowed to compete.
• The Inspection Committee has the responsibility to disqualify those cars that do not meet these specifications.
